Marissa Howe grew up in Flagstaff, Arizona where her passion for horses became her dream. At the very early age of 13, Marissa got her first horse Babe. She was able to show Babe in western pleasure, barrels, poles, and road trails all over Northern, Arizona. As she grew older she worked for world champion mule trainers Rod and Connie Lara. Her joy for developing horsemanship skills increased when they helped her work with her high energy mare India. In Summer of 2014, Marissa moved to Castle Rock, Colorado. She developed more horsemanship skills when she worked for the Denver Dumb Friends League; Harmony Equine Center. There she learned that each horse no matter their past has value and potential just like another horse. She also picked up lots of skills handling rescue horses. In Summer 2016, Marissa moved to northern Colorado where she interned for GLG Performance Horses. There, Marissa helped care for several reining horses and also road many broke and green broke horses. Marissa has since owned 3 horses. Each were either green or had a few emotional kinks to iron out and fix. Her joy and passion is to give lessons to beginner and indeterminate riders and she also enjoys working with your horses whether its getting them legged up and safe for you to ride or their first ride.
